CHAMPSS
(Choosing Healthy Appetizing Meal Plan Solutions for Seniors)

The CHAMPSS meal program represents the future of senior care by its being located in places used by people of all ages and the general public. CHAMPSS allows seniors age 60 and older to choose from different entrees and eat any meal spontaneously at their convenience seven days a week at six CHAMPSS locations throughout Lawrence.

CHAMPSS is managed by the Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging (JAAA). There is a suggested donation per meal, and participants must attend an orientation to enroll in the program. Click here to find out when the next orientation will be. Participants say they enjoy the flexibility offered through this program as well as the opportunity to be around people of all ages.
