Robert Wood Johnson Foundation

Evidence for Action: Investigator-Initiated Research to Build a Culture of Health. For research that that yields convincing findings regarding the population health, well-being, and equity impacts of specific policies, programs, and partnerships. Especially interested in research examining the health impacts of programmatic or policy interventions that address factors outside the domain of health care services or public health practice. Kansas Health Foundation

Recognition Grants expand the Kansas Health Foundation’s support to a broad range of organizations throughout the state. In addition to supporting projects, the Foundation also seeks to support initiatives that focus on promoting policy, systems and environmental (PSE) transformations that support health. PSE initiatives that affect all aspects of health, including social factors that contribute to a healthy population may be considered. Funding may be used to support the following activities of the proposed initiative: strategic communication, coalition building, data collection to inform or support an initiative, or non-lobbying advocacy actions. Recognition Grants are grants of up to $25,000 per organization. Using a competitive process, the Foundation will award as much as $2 million annually to Recognition Grant projects.
